F-Rocking Like a Green Goddess

or should I head this post  Kaftaning the Green Granny?

The captain kindly took my pics too since no grandkids were handy (cept master 6 who said he was too sick)
Nearly had my hair trimmed yesterday glad I didnt (as id feel bald) as it doesnt look very long these days.Used to be down to my bottom and much thicker Curse you aging!!!
How long is too long for us over 40s?(think I'll be a bunned up long hair old lady i'll leave the blue rinse perm to others.)
Dont you just love GREEN? Whats your fav colour?(do tell)

Feels so nice and comfy on and usually resides in my dress up items.Maybe not now.
I put on some extra bling and makeup too.

I should have had a glass of Southern comfort in my hand since I dont do wine and SC is my fav drink and the captain bought me a bottle for my big 47 (yes I turned that yesterday thanks everyone xxx)
aging hand demonstrating earing made into a ring.

Love this necklace  and these blingy earings (all opped last year)

Lovely hairy arms pretend goddess lady!!! but I wanted to show you this bangle. It was gifted to me whan I was about 8 by an old lady who used to look after me and my sis when mum was working. She died when I was about 30 at nearly 100.She was also the one who taught me to do special facial excersies (yes from 8) to stop me aging too fast lol( will I do a vlog NO!!) but basically thrusting your bottom  jaw forward  to streatch those muscles is what she taught me.Go on have a go.Its the only one I remember her showing me.She was Aunty Ruby to us and one of my Grandaughters  is a Ruby as wellThe bangle is just costume but I have always worn it on and off thru the years. You know I am a sentimental hoarder, right?
Sooooo....
Have YOU frocked up for Friday yet? Come on dont be shy its kinda fun even if hubbies think your weird.

IS THIS A GREEN NELLY I SEE??
You decked out in my fave color made me smile. I am digging that kaftan, you look like royalty. I go through phases with my hair. I grow it to mid back then chop it chin lenth.. then grow it.. then chop it.. LOL I once buzzed my hair off (SERIOUSLY) I had hair to mid back.. was so sick of straightning it and all the maintenance since at the time I was all about straight hair (I have natural medium curly)I just said "THATS IT I don't want my hair anymore" (I asked my guy if he cared first) He said I could do whatever I wanted.. so I plugged in the buzzer and BBZZZHHHTTTT. I cried when I was almost done. Then filled a bread bag with my hair. lol When I went to visit my Mom I wore a hood. She kept asking why I was wearing my hood in the house.. when I took it off she was in shock.
I did that when I was 20.. I don't think I will ever do it again though. I trim my own hair cause hair dressers usually always take too much off! I left a salon crying on one occasion. Just trim the ends yourself to get rid of split ends.

OMG MY MOM got into those face excercises! They have how to videos on youtube. I have caught my Mom doing them.. it always gives a good laugh.
I may start doing them soon, if I keep seeing ladies who are in their 60s who look 40.
I love your necklace and bracelet!

Great pics Nelly

P.s. I always end up leaving you the freaking longest darn comments ever.. Sorry.. hahaha

That dress is absolutely stunning, you look like one of those beautiful women in your side bar. No wonder green is your favouritye colour, you look fabulous.
Your hair should be as long or as short as you like, don't take any notice of what anyone says, I don't. xxx

I love the kaftan and I say keep it! (But then I'm going through a phase of wanting to keep everything just now). Nothing wrong with being an old lady with a bun, everyone over 50 has short hair now so why be the same?

You look good as a green goddess, Happy Birthday for yesterday!
The braiding on the Kaftan looks beautiful, I think I'd be tempted to cut it all up and make it into something else!
I will probably now be shot at dawn, for that comment !!!!!!

You definitely rocked that dress!! I might have to join in next Friday. I agree with VintageCoconut you look very royal. My fave colours at the moment are dark purples and bright yellows. Your hair is around the length I want mine, it's almost there.

Look at you all gorgeous in green. Your hair is lush, you glamourpuss, you.
Happy Birthday for yesterday. You certainly don't look 47 and I like long hair on us over forty ladies. I did consider cutting mine off, but I like it and I'm keeping it long.xxxx

Happy Birthday Nelly. I think you look just like Celtic royalty. That shade of green is brilliant and you have just the right colouring to go with it. Your accessories fit the look perfectly as well. I can just picture you holding court in one of the great castles we have over here - Sharon (in Ireland)

I absolutely love the kaftan - that is what I need to put on in the evenings! Glam yet comfy. Brilliant. I am so going to look out for one now.

I have long hair too - last week I went for a cut - the first in over 18 months as I am very precious about my hair, sad to say, and love it long long long.

But it was getting very dry and raggedy on the ends so I let her cut 4 inches off and now it is lovely and glossy and so much easier to dry. It was getting all tangled up too and now it doesn't - and it stays up when I clip it up.

Looking good Nelly! I might have a go at Frock on Friday one of these days. Looks like fun! I love the photo of your long hair. My hair was always long until I was in my early twenties. It never grew to my bum though, it just wouldn't grow that long (just to my lower back). I always wanted to be an old lady with long hair in a bun but looks like it won't happen now since I keep cutting it shorter (above my shoulders now). :(
