Some old Time Frocking on Friday (and an edit)

I fell for this dress when I spotted it in an oppy.I forget where, when and how much tho I know it was under $10.Reminds me of one I had as teen that was given to me by a blind friend who made it I wore it to death (literally)and it was cotton.
This dress too is home made.Metal zipper beautiful old buttons and matching belt but its more chiffony.
Worn with 2 vintage petticoats ( I must get more in bright colours soon).
Hat was another oppy score as was the bags the ports the jewellery and the gloves but I wore my grans wedding shoes.
Enjoy

All dressed up and nowhere to go
and a couple of cute  petticoats on show.
 Should I stay in here
 and sit here kinda sweet

Or should I do a jig on the box with my 2 non dancing feet?

My hair looks kinda nice today but theres somethings I forgot!

Oh thats right a hat and gloves to go with my gorgeous little frock!
and coz my head is kinda big its hard to keep it on!!

 Ido love this hat.
starring Grandmas wedding shoes,opped-white bag, gloves, earings, pearls,Mother brooch, hat and 2 lovely old ports.

Going my way?

Its Frock on a Friday come and join

Oh Nelly, the dress is gorgeous and the little purse/case in the last shot is really sweet! Love the daybed too.

Are you sure you have enough suitcases???

Enjoy your weekend, Tam

Nowhere to go?? You should have at least took a trip to the super market all dolled up like that. "Hmm maybe not.. I am sure you would have had strange men following you home" *hehehe*
That is a pretty dress Nelly and I love all the accessories you paired with it. Thank heavens you did not fall from the box whilst doing your jig! hahah

That is my most favourite dress you've posted (so far) Nelly. It's gorgeous and you are too...you know who you look like??? Grace Sullivan, that's who! (and that's a compliment in case you didn't know...)
Apparently (according a local vintage clothing shop owner here in Perth) those frilly petticoats are getting harder and harder to find so grab em up quick if you find any.

Have a lovely weekend x

oh I had the EXACT same thought when I saw the pic... Grace Sullivan ... even before I read to the end of the post!!! so yep Kylie you are RIGHT. I loved that show too. Paul Cronin who played Grace's hubby, is a local to where I shop and I see him and his wife every week at the cafe! He wears a baseball cap and jeans and jumper, not a 3-piece suit and hat!! LOL.
