OMG what a god damn frickin' nightmare Nelly!!!! Christ almighty what is wrong with people these days? And that POOR woman who starved her breastfed twin for an op only to get it cancelled?!!!!! Farrrrrrrrrrr out!! Can you imagine how completely engorged she must have been? I bet the other twin was getting double helpings to relieve the pain for her. TMI? I just know what it would feel like. I was at the Mater Hospital today with my 13y.o. with gastro and I was thinking about you, wondering how I was going to get a pair of 8mm knitting needles to you! Drive safely - you deserve a massive oppy splurge. xoxo

Oh no! Terrible news! When I had my first hip replacement scheduled I was actutally with the anaethetist when the surgeon realised he'd forgotten to order the right sized joint. To say I was annoyed was an understatement. xxx

What terrible news!! Little miss still seems to be smiling. I hope everything goes well for the next and hopefully final operation date. You all deserve some ice cream for sure. Tam

They out to be ashamed of themselves to be so unorganized! It is a hospital for G*d's sake, not a store for fishing lures where you'd expect things to get scrabbled about! I do not understand why they couldn't tell you not to come as they are swamped, or whatever. And the lady they kept waiting, ouch, poor darling baby, poor overfull mother.

On another note, though, your hubby and daughter are way cute together! I'm full of hope that you will have found at least one op-shop and a marvelous treasure to show us all who watch as you tend your garden of curiosities.

May you be blessed with a week of, peace, a new appointment that takes care of your beautiful daughter's eyes, without the hardships, and a new op-shop to try...and a nice crisp $50 bank note fall into your lap from a good book. Happened to me once.

Hi Nelly!

Oh you poor darlings! What a journey you have all had! Good on you for venting....everyone needs a good vent! Little Miss 4.5 looks just gorgeous in the pics you posted. Isn't it amazing how resiliant kids are? Mine never cease to amaze me too!

Wishing you all a safe and happy trip home.

@Scarlett Fontaine No opshopping sad hay?

@The Widow Next Oh well must move on now.Apparently an emergency came in.I just dont know why they cant shuffle locals around when travellers have so far to go and its not cheap wasted money not even an opshop jaunt to make up for it.

Oh poor you. It is always more stressful when kids are involved and five hours. God, I would be exhausted!!
I zig sag stitch mine...it isn't very forgiving if there is a stuff up, but then, neither is glue. I make it very large as if there is a tear down the track it is less likely to be a very big one.
Good luck

How very frustrating Nelly! Our health system is such a mess.It is so wrong to have to wait so long and then be called in only to be cancelled at the very last moment. I would have cried too! Especially wrong when you have come so far not to mention the stress on everyone. I hope you don't have to wait too long to be called back and that the surgery gets done. Waiting with anticipation to see if you managed to get an op shop fix on the way home. :)
Hope the sunshine is shining in your shadows again soon.
