Brace Yourselves for some news.

This is what I wore  yesterday coz even tho it was raining heaps its always muggy this time of year
So I wore a cotton (New with tags) opshopped non vintage but vintage style and patterned dress to stay cool and my $1.25 leather boots (cant help skite about them lol) to keep my feet dry (I mean it was deluging down. Now do you notice anything different about me?Look at my face? Hard to tell isnt it?From a distanc you cant tell at all but...

the title of my post had a hint ...... have a look now ....my teeth..

Taken 1st day 24 Jan 2012

I got braces!! Woo hoo something I have always wanted to have done is get my teeth straightened. So I am now 3 days in and not able to eat properly and have ulcers and the area they  pulled a tooth out is tender but I am so happy that I am on my way to having straight teeth.
Yere I feel guilty spending so much  on myself but I reckon its about time to do something for me.I had it on my list last year and for years before have always said one day and now its here.
6 months from now I will be getting them off that is also my bday month, so yay just had to share.
Wont stop me smiling even tho I am aware of them being there still but am sure I wont even notice them soon.
So I have been culling the house and doing a lot of local selling on Facebook and putting things at Vintage Wishes.
Am selling a few things I am sad to sell like my old mantel clock but it just sits there and I need to pay these things off so please check out my store and let your friends know.

Ok thats all, metal mouth signing out
Nelly xx

I'm sure the 6 months will go so quickly that you won't even remember that they were even there. Gorgeous dress, Tam x

Good for you girl. I had braces and headgear as a kid and it did go sooo fast and was completely worth it. You won't be able to stop smiling when they come off! melx

*I'm with Scarlett* I always thought you had a lovely smile.

The braces you got are barely noticable. And only needing them for 6 months (THAT WILL FLY BY)
I hope your mouth feels better very soon Nelly.

The dress looks very nice on you and MAN THOSE BOOTS WERE A STEAL!!

Well done you! I think that's brilliant. Braces have certainly changed a lot since my young days - if you hadn't said anything I would never have guessed!

Wow, it's so much harder to see your braces than the ones I had! Cheers for doing something nice for yourself, braces are totally worth it.
