I had a dream/Call me a Treasure Hunter / The one that got away.

Yes had  another oppy dream (crazy woman!!) I saw this wardrobe yesterday and wouldnt it be great for vintage clothing?Seriously the hugest robe I have ever seen and tall too.
No where for me to put it but took a photo for you all.
Anyway back to the dream well I dreamt that I saw 4 vintage hatboxes on top of  it and asked how much was told $2 each and I said I'll take them all ( I had a huge dream grin too) then I woke up!!argghhh will I ever finish an opshop dream after I buy things not before? Why am I tortured so.?

So anyway My whole day of staying home and unveiling the Treasure room went by the wayside as I had to do groceries and that means I pass opshops and that means I have to go see what I can find hence the
Call me a Treasure Hunter in title.
(After that dream wouldnt you go on the hunt too?)
and this is what I found......
Yes another hat and vintage too boot.

candle holders you say?
no they are future hat stands I say
Velvet (how  I love it) jacket is so much nicer than this looks
Titanic book and gift package with video large postcards and a piece of film from the movie
A vintage  projector (was on my want list) for future projects.
Little mouse brooch so cute.
Vintage 1955 dress making book

I saw the leather case and it came with the lens for 50c crazy huh?I couldnt resist the packages with flash bulbs either.
RED (not orange) 80s dress I buy them coz one day people will want them and I shall have lots
May Gibbs fabric Heaps of it)
patchwork fabric coz its cute
a little girl ,na a red riding hood cape (just finished making a ladies sized one for Lovely Laura too)Oh and the little miss has trampoline burn on her nose (note dont slide across trampolenes)
scarves inc. another Betty Boop one.

a hat/wig stand
11 mters of this awesome cowgirl( and you know I love cowgirly stuff) fabric

 More to this colour
 I think its bark cloth?
But whatever it is Debbie did it and I LOVE it. (arent you a bit jealous?)
These gorgeous clothes brushes they were only $1 each

A bit of bling seed necklace Lapuz lazuli shell bird brooch and a childs gold heart chain
has strange stamp looks gold but not sure.

 Lovely fans
Now for the one that got away part of title.....

Saw a lady holding a gorgeous vintage chenille dressing gown.,I tried to telepathically make her put it down as I could tell she wasnt sure. Then these interfering old biddies started ewwwing and ahhing over it grrr anyway I said to the lady I was hoping you were going to put it down and Id pay her double for it she said its only (wait for it) $2 arghhhhhhh lol she was kind enough to let me take a pic tho (felt sorry for my pain I think) lol
Very much like my quilt I have, oh well teaches me for forgetting to put my blinkers on which I always try to do.

But all was not lost I went and had another scroungs around and found this
 Vintage emroidered(and needing an iron)
dressing gown (wipe that drool off ,ya here?)
Oh and I went to the tip shop and got this  it used to belong to Don Bissett whos name and addy are still on card inside.
and these (master 6 was with us ones for him ones for little sis)
this for LL and her Red Riding hood outfit
and an awesome clothes stand (no pics yet)
and look my red cases are breeding.
I had vintage books to share but this post must end and as its now 11.36pm and I have had a long and hectic day I shall retire and see you again for Frock on Friday with the promise that the unveiling will be the next post after that.

Nelly xxx

one last thing my fault but ....Men aye?
I left my keycard at home rang The Captain and asked  can you meet me halfway and bring the Brown Leather bag near my desk.(note to self when switiching bags make sure you remove everything!)
Ok says he and  meets me halfway and hands me the Black bag with maroon trim (this is the Men aye? bit) Luckily I decided to just take his keycard instead of driving all the way home for mine lol.
The end xx

My goodness that is a haul, I am gobsmacked seriously. So much to love there.....the mouse brooch, the fabrics, the 80's dress...I could go on. I had to laugh at your telepathic comment......it must be a true and desperate sign that you're a thriftier, I do the same thing, and must admit I have been known to do the op shop stalk as well.

OMG Nelly! What a seriously insane amount of wonderful stuff! If I were to make a comment on every single wonderful thing you scored on your latest treasure hunt I'd be typing this all day! I am jealous, proud, happy for you and very nearly ready to throw my op-shop ban down the toilet. You've got me itching to get back out there!
Can't wait for the big unveil...x

We most definitely are Soul Sistas... similar passions! I couldn't believe that Mouse Brooch, I had one just like it when I was a child & I'd never seen one like it since! I think as a wee one I "pet" all the rabbit hair off of mine. *winks* I had a balding Rabbit's Foot Keychain I did the same stroke to death to! *LOL*

Loving the Kimona... and I too have a Vintage Italian Velvet Bedspread with Cherubs on it, so I'll have to go look at that archived Post of yours and see how similar ours are?!

Yes, I'm certain we could trade many a story about raising some of our G-Kids! *winks* I'm just thankful we didn't have to raise all 9 of ours... or I'd be one seriously frazzled Granny fantasizing about running away from Home...*LOL*

PS: Almost forgot to tell you that I totally believe in the Laws Of Attraction... and quite often when I've dreamed or had constant thoughts about an object it has miraculously shown up... too many times to be mere coincidence... lemme know if your Hat Boxes show up in real Life now!? *winks*
