Its Thursday again already!

 wasnt it just Thursday yesterday? I am a week older again?Well that sucks!

Ready for my thrifting week? (must say I have been very good and only been to all once.)

$5 basket at Vintage shop in town got me this vintage lok 70s dress.Not my size.

Margaret owned it I didnt know whether to laugh (which I did) or feel sad (which I did)  when I read the inscription.Hope she had family.She was a smoker tho as I can smell it so will add some lovely scented something inside.(no offence my dear smoking blogging buddies xx)

Got 1st 3 at my lovely friends oippy and figured they must have belonged to same lady so how could I seperate them?The last one and the pink were at the next oppy.


Now I have 2 other dresses to share but you know you have to wait  till tomorrow right?

Oh and my record bag is holding up well so far have had some great responce and am making one for my lovely opshop boss lady who loved it and  who saved me a vintage lovely today.Stay tuned.

To do Blogtober or not to do Blogtober

that is the question.

I wasnt going to then thought I may try (see I am bad at making decisions)  and now am a day late but am thinking since its the 1st in the U.S I could do it still.I wont sign up for it but will give it a go and see if I can post each day this month.My life is all over the place at times so this challenge may work or it may not but I wont use the Fail word if I dont manage it.
So today I am sharing some pics to get me started.

Ok so I got this at an oppy a while ago you may remember it. Its a Susan Parsons and still had shop tag.

 I had to take it in and want to know do I make it short (its a maxi now) and do I keep the sleeves or take them off?But they are mini wings so may have to keep them.

 Got this one at same time as above but this is a home made one.

 Do I keep it as a maxi or show some leg?Thinking it may be a great winter outfit as a maxi with boots.

 How do you like my knickerbockers?

 finsihed them off yesterday as they had been one of my UFOs for ages.Made from vintage sheets.

 was thinking of making a few pairs to sell but dunno how popular they would be.

 Finished a mob cap for Miss 5s teacher for the class play.

and me today my opped shoes,bag and top.(had last 2 for ages.)

So thats one day into my Blogtober lets see how well I do.

Some old Time Frocking on Friday (and an edit)

I fell for this dress when I spotted it in an oppy.I forget where,when and how much tho I know it was under $10.Reminds me of one I had as teen that was given to me by a blind friend who made it I wore it to death (literally)and it was cotton.
This dress too is home made.Metal zipper beautiful old buttons and matching belt but its more chiffony.
Worn with 2 vintage petticoats ( I must get more in bright colours soon).
Hat was another oppy score as was the bags the ports the jewellery and the gloves but I wore my grans wedding shoes.
